Traditional plant expert Yvette John will guide us through the lush old-growth forests that grow along the valley bottom of the Skagit River.  On the shady forest floor, we’ll find aromatic wild ginger, stinging nettle, lilies, numerous edible berries, and many other plants that can heal and nourish.  Yvette will share with us her detailed knowledge of the “traditional plants” used by the Stó:lô for food, medicine, technology, and cultural practices.
